EMS Provider Update Day a Success

The Office of Preshopital Care held two full-day sessions explaining the new EMS regulations. These sessions were held at the Erie County Medical Center and the Wyoming County Training Center. Topics covered during these free sessions were, SSI, Medical Orders for Life Sustaining Treatment (MOLST), WREMAC Protocol Update & Ask the WREMAC Doc, Bureau of EMS Policy Updates & Ask the DOH Rep, Waveform Capnography, CPAP, Creating a Culture of Safety in EMS and EMS Survey Results.

Attendance for these sessions was very high and feedback was very positive prompting discussions for more training sessions. No dates have been set, but any updates will be posted on this website.

Thank you to all of the presenters and organizers for making these sessions a great success.

Blood Glucometry

Blood Glucometry Limited Laboratory Registration

The law requires that any EMS service testing blood glucose be required to possess a Limited Laboratory Registration. In order to obtain the Registration, EMS agencies must complete and submit the following documents:
